I couldn't find any information on my problem so I decided to post here.I'm not sure if it's the appropriate forum but here goes. Way back in May i got a shot when I came into my doctor to relieve my rather severe cold syptoms. The shot was injected into my hip right above my left buttock. Here it is 7 months later and I just noticed something today.there's STILL a small bruise and the tissue in that area is sunken in.like there's a chunk out of my muscle. I really have no idea how I haven't noticed it until now. I called my doctor and asked what the hell was going on.at first I got an immediate reply from the receptionist: "it's just a bad reaction to the shot" When I asked if it will heal anytime soon, I got "yes, the bruise, but not the 'dent'". I got quite angry, got put on hold for another 20 minutes, and then the nurse informed me if that I 'rubbed' the area after the shot, this could have happened. When I asked what I could do and if it would heal, she said ice it for the bruise. I again repeated my concern about the tissue damage and she uneasily said it would fill in over time. How much time she did not know. Now here's the thing. If I were informed that a shot to relieve my cold symptoms could cause me permanent tissue damage in my hip, I would have ridden it out and took some friggin' tylenol when I got home. What is the deal with this? I'm concerned I'm being lied to and the tissue will not ever fill in. It's been 7 months already. What course of action should I take? Hi everyone, I sure hope someone can help me here. i been on 1 mg xanax 3 times a day since feb 2006 i did fine, then around dec 06 i started having little fainting spells not alot just here and there . Over time they got worse. In june 07 i passed out on the sidewalk and my eyes flickered and rolled back in my head and i shook and started screening, couldnt talk or focus anything didnt have no idea what had happened. I went to neuro drs after another then in dec 07 i finally found one he went by my symtons and said i was having seizures. i had all the tests done MRI,EEG,VEEG, all came back normal. Had theses tests done in 2007 and again in 2008 all normal ,but the dr in dec 07 put me on depakote er 500am 500 pm =1,000 mgs a day. I took them from dec07 till now and i was sleeping 24/7 and started getting headaches so i got sick of sleeping so much so they took me off. This one is a new dr the old one i had, had a anurizum so i found a neuro specialist. They say im having seizures, but i have heard that xanax can cause you to have seizures, only its not really seizures it just looks like seizures. Does anyone know because the drs tell me you dont get seizures while on xanax only when you come off them. I'm very confused they want me to go to a rehab to get off the xanax but if its seizures and i dont abuse them why do i need rehab ? Someone please reply back as soon as possible if you can help me, i been calling around to dr after dr asking this question. Some say yes some say no so im very very confused about if im having seizures because of the xanax or if its really seizures as i did have them when i was 4 yrs old to 9 yrs old then they stopped and came back in 2006 little by little.
